Why my kindle battery last two days only?

I bought a brand new kindle (amazon) recently. My wireless is off and I am reading approx 1 hour a day every day. But I have to charge my kindle almost every second day. Do you know why?

My friends are very mean to me sometimes and then they are nice to me. I do everything for them that I can do, but they only do things for me when they feel like it ( never ). They ditch me and they have sleepovers and then show me pictures and say why weren't you there and then act all sad for me and say we will invite you next time and stuff. They also control me all the time, when they want something they tell me to get it, they only let me act a certain way to people ( to geeks they make me be mean and to people they hate at that moment they tell me to hate them and if i dont i have to sit with the loners at a random table at lunch and they will bully me for the rest of the day ). They also leave me out of every conversation ( they huddle together and tell me i have to watch the bags on the table and if i dont they will be angry at me cause all of their stuff will be stolen and other stuff ). I was caught shoplifting at target, I was tackled by 4 security guards READ ON PLEASE!?

I know it was wrong to shoplift at target however how I was punished was wrong so Im curious to see what others think. I walked out of target with unpaid merchandise, right as i exited the store i was TACKLED by FOUR MEN. One was a target employee, and 3 others were JUST SECURITY GUARDS. I am 5 foot 1 and 110 pounds. I was also put in handcuffs right as i was caught, and until the police got there as the police officer asked "oh shes still in handcuffs.....?" i am concerned about the fact that these were not police officers tackling me they should not have even touched me yet alone handcuffed me, yet alone 4 guys tackling me, and keeping me in handcuffs that long. they were very ruff, very rude, hurt me physically i am still in pain and obviously emotionally. they told me to stop resisting and they would not loosen the handcuffs even when i was sitting AND I WAS NOT RESISTING. they also went through my wallet and purse which i told them was okay, however now one of my visa gift cards is missing. i live in colorado, this has to be bullshit?

I live in the UK and am 16 years old, male. I play in an American Football team with my friends but our coach is pretty bad, we ALWAYS play shotgun and have a no huddle offense which is pretty bad because then we do everything with signs and in the games people get confused and don't know their routes. Also the run plays are completely ridiculous, on the same run we'll have one guy take the gut and one guy run an option round the side. The problem with your pokemon team is that dewott, togetic, archen and feebas are weak to electric type pokemon already. You should try using a ground-type pokemon, because it has no effect on electric. I would suggest maybe a seismetoad, or another ground type. Elesa has 2 Emolga and 1 Zebstrika, so Ice and Rock type moves are good on the Emolga, and ground is good for Zebstrika. If you don't have a pokemon that has a ground type move, teach it a TM, like Dig, or Rock Tomb. and also, i would recommend you have lvl 30 pokemon for the battle.

Thinking about getting a Kindle...would you recommend it?

It's awesome. The books still cost money so I would continue going to the library, but books that will take you longer to read or you want to keep/take somewhere you could get on the kindle. The cool thing about the kindle is that you can download a trial of each book, to read a section and see if you'll like it before buying. The screen is great too, it looks exactly like paper.

A couple questions for airplane?

Hey guys. I know I've asked a few questions before, and while I am a frequent flyer, I haven't flown since last summer & I have a couple questions. I've heard many different things on this, but I got my Amazon Kindle for my birthday in April & I was wondering if I'm aloud to use it? I've heard a couple things about the screen getting wiped out while on the plane? Two, in the past few months my lips have been getting chapped easily & I have to use chapstick everyday...will the airplane make it worse? Three, I'm truly afraid of take off. I know it's normal & not dangerous or anything, I just have always been to the point where I grab onto the arm rests & SQUEEZE them. Is there anything you recommend to help me not freak out so much? And lastly, I'm flying Southwest Airlines (love them!) and I'm considered an adult now. I have to find my way through the terminal to baggage claim at the Tampa International Airport.. Is it easy to find or confusing? I looked at the maps and they weren't very helpful. It's just going to be me & my 9 year old brother.. Sorry this was so long, thanks in advance!!!

I need some help patching up my relationship with my father...?

I am 14 years old. On Monday, my dad had to wake me up, my dad doesn't like having to wake me up for school because i have to get up so early, he doesn't see why i can't just use my alarm clock. I am a very heavy sleeper and so even with my alarm clock blasting I don't hear it. He got really mad at me and said that I couldn't have a sleepover on Thursday. I proceeded to say "Why, I have breakfast, and I am making the bus on time" He says "Because I had to wake you up!" I said, "I'm making the bus on time, it's fine, chill" My dad then stomped towards me and when he does that he is coming to beat my ***. My dad's dad used to discipline him that way whenever my dad "mouthed off". I did not mouth off towards him when he was yelling at me though. I had a calm, but firm voice. When he started stomping towards me, I started sprinting, he chased me around the house 5 times I think, and I was screaming. I made a run for the door. My mom came out and stalled my dad for probably 5 seconds and he pushed her away. I saw my dad in the corner of my eye about 5 feet away from me. I went into a protective huddling position on the driveway. I had dropped my purse and I still had my backpack on my back. He grabbed the top strap/handle of my backpack and drug me across the driveway about 10 feet. He spanked me 3 times and tried to kick me. My mom finally got out and stopped him from further injuring me. My mom asked if I was okay, I was crying but said "I'm okay, but he just drug me across the driveway" My dad who had walked way but was not yet inside, said "I didn't do **** to you" I said "Bullshit you didn't". I ran to the bus stop. I haven't said more then ten words to my father since Monday and he is mad at my mom and hasn't talked to her either because he feels that she interfered with him disciplining me the right way. My dad's birthday is on Easter and I want everything to be better by then but at this point I don't think he even deserves the right to be sung to. I just want him to apologize and acknowledge that what he did was wrong. We used to be best friends. I just want it to be like that again. Please help me patch up my friendship.

My computer does not recognize my Kindle?

I am attempting to access my Kindle through my PC - it worked without problems when I plugged it into my laptop (however, my laptop isn't working at the moment) - it charges but it will not recognize that it is plugged in and allow me to get to the files.

Labrador definatly. They shed like its going out of fashion but they are intelligent, friendly, known for liking kids and tend to bark when people knock at the door, more out of excitement than anything. If they dont do this naturally you can teach them. They will need well over an hour of exercise a day though and I would advise you to get a dog from a shelter of around a year old rather than a puppy because a puppy really is like another baby and if you have two already you wont want the hassle of toilet training or the risk of getting a dog who doesnt like children. If you get a shelter dog, people already KNOW what its like and whether it likes children and it is likely to already have some basic training. You can get a lot of young dogs in shelters from accidental litters that people couldnt afford to keep.

Help!!! I'm SOOO lost!!!?

Ohkiee so there's this guy i like he's a sophomore, and a scorpio. I'm gonna be a freshman, and i'm a leo. Then my crush was like "Oh, i'm not doing anything saturday." I was like "I bet you aren't. ;)" STUPID me, i should've asked him to hang out! XP One time, i was like maybe 60 ft away, but i tried to start a convo, and then he just walked up to me, and started talking. Later, i got the nerve to ask him for his number. (Oh, i'm also transferring to his high school) I've texted him before, and he'd usually text back right away (he's sort'of blunt though). Nowadays, he doesn't even reply back. Last time we saw each other, i was around a group of friends and talking. But i noticed he usually doesn't talk/hang out with me when i'm around other people. I told friends i was transferring, one of my friends was like "Did you tell (guy i like) yet?" Then my crush just walked by, and i think he was smiling or something. At the end of class, in our huddle, my crush was like "So janette, are you going to (that highschool)?" (He's told me i should go to his highschool though) But he tried to start a convo with me, because he was walking kind'of close and was like "Being sunburned on the shoulders is the worst. How do I put music on my Kindle?

Ok, so I got a kindle about a month ago. It's been great so far except that when I attempt to load music files on to it, following the instructions to do so, the damn thing won't play the music. I drag and drop the songs to the music file on the kindle and then, on the kindle, select "menu", "experimental", and "Play MP3" and it tells me to load music on the Kindle as if I hadn't already. I have no idea how this stupid thing works or if it's disfunctional or what. Some help would be great, thanks:)

Question on Kindle Warranty?

Ok, i got my first kindle on christmas last year in 2010. In February of this year it broke. I returned it a week ago after I was sure I could not fix it myself. They sent me a new one a couple of days ago. Last night i was reading, and it suddenly switched off on me. It was fully charged. When i tryed to turn it back on half the screen stayed the way it was before i turned it on again. it still had a picture of half the background in sleep mode. The rest was perfectly fine. about 3 years ago i got caught for shoplifting baby bottles an was giving an adult cautioning as it was a first offence but yesterday i done it again in a different store for some meat for dinner dont ask why i done it again i should have learnt from the first time but anyway was caught and was seen on camera doing it once a week or so before so guards were called was arrested cooperated fully got photo and fingerprints taken admitted doing it both times and was giving a court date for 2 weeks later then left and was told that it would prob be just a fine i will get so what i was wondering is what will happen in court will it just be a fine since it will be first time in my life before a judge and i was thinking of going on my own will i need to bring a solicitor with me as at the moment i cant afford one with been out of work and having a family of 2 kids to support and will it be in the newspapers.

my kitty Nala (8 months) is usually really friendly with people she follows them around she loves her food goes crazy whenever she knows shes getting fed and is usually very happy. Although the last 3 days (this being day 3) she has gone weird. She has her own room the laundry and there's a little outdoor bit where she can go outside and other cats wont bother her but she usually hangs out in the house with us. Anyway the last 3 days she has hid in a corner outside in a little ball hasnt eaten (which is really weird) and i dont think she has even moved to drink. And whenever i pick her up she gets really scared she lowers her head and goes really still and her claws are out. I had tried many times to sit her infront of her food but she keeps running back to her corner outside. I try and bring her into different rooms with me and just leave her usually shes running around wanting to get pats and exploring but now she huddles in a little ball and as soon as im not looking she runs back outside. Also sometimes when i pick her up she growls and sort of plays dead. Its so weird she just sits there like somthing has scared her stiff. I have come to the conclusion that my housemate and beaten her. I have seen him hit her a couple of times and asked him not to punish her like that but im thinking he didnt listen and im thinking this time he took it too far. This is the only thing i can think of why she being like this but shes even so scared of me HELP what can i do i feel terrible for her i cant take her to the vet im flat broke right now so that is out of the question im just worried about her not eating and if she will snap out of this will she ever be the same again? what can i do?

Nook vs. Kindle .... which to choose?

Hun don't generalize, most likely they're just baby-bats(misinformed teenagers about the gothic subculture). I know plenty of goths(mostly adults) who are the nicest people you could ever meet. Why is my guppy fry sticking to a corner of the tank?

I have 2 tanks, a big one for all my fish and a small one for guppy breeding... about a week ago, 2 of my guppies gave birth the same day, leaving me with about 35 baby guppies, which i kept in the small aquarium. about two days later, the big one had a big ammonia spike that killed almost all my fish (lesson learned) so i cleaned up, made a full water change, and set it up again with 3 small fish and the guppy fry. Everything seems to be fine, but this morning i fount about 14 baby guppies huddled up together in a corner near the surface. they all seem to be healthy, but they're not in their usual curious-explorative attitudes. This is my second guppy fry ever, and the first had only one survivor so I don't know if this behavior is normal. Help?

This is my first year of student council, and after losing senior class president to two votes, I decided to run for student council president and VP, I lost twice because more people raised their hands for the popular kid. NO one picked me except for my friend and a couple of freshman I don't know. They don't even want me there, and the girl I lost to is just so mean to people. She just gives me these looks that make me want to leave and never come back to high school ever again. No one wants me there other than my friend, and I'm starting to think its because I'm the only African American there. I look different then everyone else, and everyone's huddled in their own little circle of friends while my friend and I are in the corner by ourselves. I grew up with American football and love the game but in the past 5 years I have really lost a passion for it. A game takes 3 hours to play and yet I've only seen 20 minutes of total action. It's scary as an American that soccer, rugby and hockey have really peaked my interest and I find myself watching those games more than football. However i love when football teams are pressed for time and go with the hurry up offense, the game flows better, its exciting and fast paced. Does anyone else feel this way? Im looking for a program that will allow me to take any text file and place it wherever i want in the kindle (archived folder. main screen, etc....) How can I get over my "hatred" of forks scraping against things (i.e. teeth)?

I absolutely loathe when forks (or any other metal implement) is being scraped across another hard surface, like teeth or a metal sink, and especially other implements. I've tried to get over this myself, but I'm pretty sure it's only worsened. The last time I braved a fork-scraping session, the feel, the sound, the mere thought drove me to tears. My uncle is in the club scene in San Fransisco and about a week ago he told me he was at a party and his friend pointed out that Dave was standing across from them. I have an eating disorder and I self harm, but today I binged and ate so much. Then I wanted to self harm, but I've run out of razors so i drank some bleach and then nothing happened and I started crying and scratching and I was the only one home, so no one saw, but I was crying my eyes out and I weighed myself and i got a knife and considered stabbing myself, but i resisted and then i shouted screaming and shouting then i threw the scales out the window and i huddled by the door crying and shaking my head saying no. Why do you think my puppy may be depressed acting?

I have a 5 1/2 month old Alaskan Malamute. We took him to a family member house yesterday so he could play with a year old Pit Bull. They played for hours!! My Mal is a male and the Pit is a female. Neither is neutered. My Mal doesn't play with others dogs very often because we are not around many I would consider letting him play with (Pit Bull and Rott owner that are using there dogs as guard dogs). Now today he is depressed acting and its makes me worried cause I don't want to see him that way. Could he be sore from all the playing or possibly be depressed because he made a friend and misses her?

House Finches--Where's the Dad?

Birds don't lay all their eggs at once..usually they will lay one per day until the clutch is complete..so she obviously is still in the laying process. Once the clutch is complete or almost complete..she will then start to incubate the eggs. The male does not incubate the eggs, but will help feed the chicks once they hatch. He may also make visits to the nest to feed the female while she sits so that she does not have to leave as often to forage.

Ohkiee so there's this guy i like he's a sophomore, and a scorpio. I'm gonna be a freshman, and i'm a leo. Underwater things to do?

If I had a waterproof camera I would definitely do a water park. Maybe Typhoon Lagoon as they have the Shark Reef as well where you could get pics of fish and stuff underwater. But it would also be cool to take pics on family raft ride etc...

As I was rereading the Deathly Hallows, yet again for the 10th time, I tried desperately to ignore this nagging question forming at the back of my mind. After the conversation with Harry and Dumbledore, do you guys remember when there was a little creature kind of like "a baby," as Harry described it, huddling in a corner? Well, I figured later that it was Voldemort's horcux. What I don't get is how Voldemort killed the Horcrux inside Harry with merely a killing curse. I thought to destroy a horcrux, you need a weapon so powerful, like the sword of Gryffindor that was stained with basilisk blood, or basilisk fangs. I though a killing curse isn't enough. Heat lamp for Ducks Help?

Usually if they huddle under the lamp, they're cold. If they huddle away from the lamp, they're either hot or something is scaring them from the head (do you have a cat bed/litterbox near the lamp?) Ten day olds are starting to self regulate their body temp. so it doesn't need to be as warm. Raise the lamp about a foot and see if that helps.

How technologically advanced are you?

My job revolves around me staying current. I'm definitely a techie. I like to upgrade to new technology, but I'm not the first in line. I like to wait till the flaws in the product surface before buying into new technology. The only way I buy new technology is if it does something different/better. They always seem to be coming out with new phones, but other than appearance, they don't often do anything different than the older model. I don't see the need to upgrade until something superior comes along. I don't upgrade just because something new and shiny came along. The nice thing about phone companies is that they are always giving me free upgrades.

Quit putting forth the effort sounds like it is one sided as is and when you do, you get burnt. Burnt out from college?

Well I'll give you some info on myself. I'm a senior by credits but this is the end of my 3rd year. I'm a physics student, and to say the least ... I used to love physics and everything to do with it. As of right now I want nothing to do with it ... I typically don't go to any of my physics classes because I have no motivation and I hate my professor. Funny story is that I got stuck with the same shitty professor for three semesters, ... of whom has a nack for taking a subject you dearly love and turning it into something you hate. Everyday is a test, everyday another homework assignment, another problem to solve, another paper to write. Not only do I pay money to do work at school, but then I have to take my work home with me only to worry about being marked for all the mistakes and such that I made on the last homework assignment. Perfection is constantly demanded, and I have to compete with those students of whom get perfect grades do to their tireless efforts. Well I don't have tireless efforts, I want to relax and have fun. Not stress out all the time about being graded like cattle only to have to jump the next huddle. I can't even get a real job with physics, and I totally regret not doing engineering. So unfortunately the only thing that seems to be on my mind right now is getting into graduate school as fast as possible for EE and then getting out as fast as possible to start working. I hate school because its always a competition with everyone. I'm pretty sure anyone is capable of doing any kind of work as so long as they're trained for it , which why I find it ridiculous that people go to 4 years to get a bachelors and another 4 years for a masters just so they can forget everything they did and work on one easy specific thing that would have taken only a couple of months to train for. I don't want to do my homework tonight, I don't want to study for those aweful exams, and I don't want to go to summer school. I just want to go home to vegas where I belong. But I can't because life sucks and you have to put up with this stupid **** just to get your foot in the door/ employable.

I am pet sitting for the week and the tortoise heat lamp burnt out on wednesday afternoon. I can't find a replacement anywhere in the house and none of the local pet shops stock them. They are back on Saturday so how long can the tortoises go without heat? They have a UV tube but im not sure if this is enough. I ordered two different books today on Amazon for my kindle. I want to clarify that they are by two different authors. I went to read one of them, and then I decided to read a few chapters from the other one. That's when I realized, "Did I actually switch books? This information is exactly the same, word for word, as the other book." I'm not sure why it was EXACTLY the same, but with the economy and all going the way it is going, I shouldn't have had to pay for two of the same books. When I ordered them, the covers and authors were different, but why then do they have EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT THEM the same? I'm not so much as worried about the money, because the books weren't that expensive, but one of the authors got totally ripped off, and that isn't fair. I know how hard it is to write books, especially ones packed full of information, and it isn't right that somebody gets to make money off of pretending that they wrote all of it. Very weird wireless problems?

For about two years my linksys wireless-g gaming adapter worked fine. I always used it for my xbox360, and it never dropped unless the power went out, or the internet went down. Just a few days ago it stopped working all of a sudden and can not find my linksys router, or if it does find one it is the neighbors. Roommate smells so bad?

My roommate has this constant musty smell of old dominoes pizza, B.O, dirty laundry, methane gas, burnt transmission fluid, cat urine, fermented vomit, diesel fuel, weed, skunky beer, cabbage, provolone cheese, wet beef, wet dog, non-FDA approved tacos, vaginal secretions, infectious finger pus, dead alewives, heavily used motor oil, cheese whiz, cheese whiz for dogs, marmite, sour milk, the Holocaust, and decaying flesh. Seriously, I can smell all of those things coming from him. I can't tell if its his breath, or his body. But when I'm sitting across the room, the smell sometimes comes in waves, immediately following his unusually loud exhales. I can evade the stench by huddling in the opposite corner, but as I get closer to him, the foul odor becomes increasingly intense. I haven't confronted him directly, but have left subtle hints like spraying fabrize in his general direction, but he doesn't take the hint. I am really tempted to spray him with fabrize, but that would just add a sweetness to the smell, which would be repulsive. He is also stupid and ugly. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Why did I become this way?

Wearing a retainer or mouth guard?

Is it ok for me to wear a retainer if I have never had nor needed braces? Why won't the baby chicks come out?

My family has had two baby parakeets that are about six weeks old now. However, there seems to be a problem with the two...they refuse to leave the nest box. I've been keeping my distance to let the parents do their thing with the chicks, but the only thing that happens is they go in and regurgitate food to the chicks instead of weaning them. Neither do they seem interested in kicking the babies out. They just sit there while the babies huddle in the back, and I'm starting to wonder if I might need to something about this. we have never gone to the doctor about it although my mum says every time she should about my brother. I just made my local jr college football team and never played in HS, my coaches don't know this and I'd like to keep it that way because this is the best jc team in the nation and everyone is amazing, anyways I play wide receiver and in the huddles the QB will say something like "trailer gut 24" I know that means 2 route and 4 route but how do I know which route I run? and theres 4 receivers on the field so are the ones opposite of me running the same route the QB only called 2 routes. I'm all confused and dont wanna look like the rookie out there, I'm sure I explained how he called the plays wrong too so help me out thanks.

BidRack.com is a penny auction that I was directed to from my email account by way of a spamming type of advert with a statement that BidRack was auctioning off 1000 Amazon Kindles all for the same price of about $21.00. Wow, I said and clicked the link to a "Free" registration page for the auction. I entered my contact information with a chosen bidder name and password and clicked continue. I landed on a second page that was asking for more details than I cared to disclose including my credit card payment information. Needless to say I did not finish registration nor did I witness any of the "sales" of kindles at that set price of about $21.00. Do you think that BidRack is a business funded by some secret millionaire that just wants to give away stuff to needy people by asking for such a small portion of the real cost just to be charitable? The whole thing sounded "almost to good to be true"

Im going to get straight to the point, I had sex outside. It was around empty buildings I looked around didn't see any cameras, but the person I was with said he had seen cameras (once we left so I couldn't go double check) this was private property. A security guard came and told us we had to leave I am guessing he had seen me just standing there but this was after the sex. I looked good to make sure there was no cameras, my guess is the guy just assumed that he had seen cameras but I am about 80% sure there wasn't any. You need to put them back in the nest so the parents can find them. The bird obviously had access to the nest otherwise the eggs would have never hatched. If you just put the chicks outside in a bowl with no coverage or protection..then obviously predators will come for them..it is like you putting out a free meal for them. You need to put the nest with the chick in it as close as possible to the original location (obviously in a safe place where predators cannot easily spot or see them). The parents should be able to hear the begging calls if they are close to the old location as they should come around looking for them. If for some reason the parents are unable to locate the nest, then the chicks would need to go to a local wildlife rehab for their best chance of survival.

As long as you are completely healthy, and because your asvab score is so good you have a very good chance at getting in. The job you want is called maritime law enforcement. Yes they do have an intelligence rating as well. From what I hear it takes people about a year to ship to boot camp for the uscg, and then you go unrated which means you are jobless for a while(a year or two cleaning and doing ***** work) then they give you the Job you want. That's just what I've heard about the enlistment process the coastguard has right Now. Don't know if that is fact.

The offense shouldnt be limited at all to help the defense, its always been my understanding that the offense dictates the tempo and the defense has to adjust, not the other way around. Did you see what happened to Texas on Demarco Murray's two TD's? They werent ready and the offense took advantage of it, its really smart strategy. When you registered it probably set up the proper firmware for the Kindle 3 with ads on your device. You bought the one with ads; they gave it to you cheaper, and you should keep the ads on. They don't affect your reading. If you don't want ads, return it and get the regular one.

Shaving Spots Problems...?

About two months ago I shaved some new hairs on both of my cheeks. Everything was fine after about a week I got about 6 small bumps/spots all in a huddle on my left cheek. They are still there now and noticeable, I have tryed spot washes (clearasil) moved on from that now and now im using Benzoyl Peroxide for my Acne and I put some on my bumps. Its been about 2 months now and there still there and noticeable. Please help!

My cockatiel poos black, and it seems its stressed?

I have 2 cockatiels probably 4-6 months old. but ive had them for 2 weeks. they havent eaten anything and im getting worried as they seem to be stressed. its really cold outside so when i come back from school i bring them inside the house until morning i take them back out. but recently they're poo have been coming dark brown/black, im really getting worried. i feed them seed from my hands but they only eat a little bit. not only that but they wont come outside of their cage or whistle. i read that feeding fruit is better for their digestive system but what kind of fruit or vegetables? also do you believe the change from the weather from cold to warm would effect them. most of the time they are asleep together huddling and i put them a cuddle bone and they wont even TOUCH IT! i really need them to eat that and scrape their beaks because its really long. please someone help whats happening?
