Heat lamp for Ducks Help?

Usually if they huddle under the lamp, they're cold. If they huddle away from the lamp, they're either hot or something is scaring them from the head (do you have a cat bed/litterbox near the lamp?) Ten day olds are starting to self regulate their body temp. so it doesn't need to be as warm. Raise the lamp about a foot and see if that helps.
