What's the best dog to get?

Labrador definatly. They shed like its going out of fashion but they are intelligent, friendly, known for liking kids and tend to bark when people knock at the door, more out of excitement than anything. If they dont do this naturally you can teach them. They will need well over an hour of exercise a day though and I would advise you to get a dog from a shelter of around a year old rather than a puppy because a puppy really is like another baby and if you have two already you wont want the hassle of toilet training or the risk of getting a dog who doesnt like children. If you get a shelter dog, people already KNOW what its like and whether it likes children and it is likely to already have some basic training. You can get a lot of young dogs in shelters from accidental litters that people couldnt afford to keep.
