I had normal kindle 3 screensavers and now they are ads!! WHYY?

When you registered it probably set up the proper firmware for the Kindle 3 with ads on your device. You bought the one with ads; they gave it to you cheaper, and you should keep the ads on. They don't affect your reading. If you don't want ads, return it and get the regular one.
